From Atharia

Some people like power gaming. That is a fact. There are some power gamers who are unpleasant about being ‘the best’ on an OOC level. Be as unpleasant as you want about it IC as long as everyone involved is enjoying the RP. Reign it in if they are not having fun. We on Atharia don’t care if you make yourself overpowered (super strong magic, maxed stats, you can do everything, etc). However, we do care about including everyone. Sure you could be the most badass of badass people but step back and let others have a spot in the sun. Player A is sheeted to be a super awesome diplomat and you have the stats for it but you're a combat character? Step back and let the person who is sheeted to be a diplomat shine and do their thing, whether their stats are better than yours or yours is better than theirs is irrelevant. Lift your fellow players up in what they are skilled at and use your ‘badass dice’ or, perhaps better wording skills, to back up what they are doing instead of stepping on their attempts.

If you are in a scene where you and your RP buddies are attempting to make peace with a bandit who is your worst enemy and while you have the stats to completely ‘win’ his battle but you’ve read the public info on one of your buddies or they have mentioned being skilled at solving problems like that, let them do it and throw your dice behind what they do. So, maybe you get the best roll you can but the buddy botches? Ask staff if you can support them with your roll, turning their botch into a success by showing your support of their plan. It can be a very bad plan, sure, but it will encourage the player to feel like they are part of the story rather than someone watching your story.
