The Story of Hilal and Soleil:

When Ossian fell to the earth from Larthin’s eye, and created night and day something else was created, a moon at night and a sun. When night became a thing with Ossian’s fall and the moon formed, a figure came from it, still too dark for some mortals to see what it was. However, the other Gods saw what the figure emerging from the Moon was, another God. As the Moon God started to fly across the sky on luminescent wings and the sky began to light up with twinkling stars, hundreds of them.

As Ossian stood, bringing the light, the unnamed Moon God that started to fly across the sky with luminescent wings, seemed to flee the forming sun. From the sun emerged another figure, pulling the sun up with it and pushing the moon away to follow behind the fleeing Moon God. The sun was so bright that it caused the stars created by the moon God to slowly fade away. The sun God was as beautiful as its counterpart and had wings of flames. The arrival of this God from the sun was missed by many mortals because it was so bright and shining. The Gods, as expected, witnessed the creation of the Sun God.

Before more mortals could see these Gods they fled, hearing only the whisper of Ossian’s voice, their father, naming the Moon God, Hilal and the Sun God, Soleil. Soleil and Hilal are not Gods who frequently get seen by the mortals.

The story of Masquerade:

The birth of the seven main Gods of Atharia are tied to some abnormal way. They were not ‘birthed’ in the fashion that mortals are created. However, there is a major God that is an exception to this and that is the Seventh God, Masquerade. Masquerade is the First Child of the Children of Gods. They were born from a union of Larthin with a mortal he favored at the time. This is back well before the mortals were killed by Larthin. Masquerade was awoken the day they were born by Larthin and the name they originally had has been long since lost. Masquerade does not recall the original name it had nor whether it had any gender. Masquerade, the mortal, was believed to have failed the tasks it was given as a Child of Gods because very few stories circulated about it once the Seventh God was believed to have finished the Children of Gods tasks.

Masquerade, however, did not fail its tasks. The Seventh God excelled at them, in fact. After it ascended with the successful completion of its tasks Masquerade preferred to keep a low profile, much to Larthin’s annoyance. Instead, the Seventh God opted to travel Atharia in various forms to help mortals, especially the Children of Gods. It did not have a consistent form it took so Masquerade was sometimes human, sometimes an animal or creature. No matter the form Masquerade too it was to help the mortals with whatever, especially the Children of Gods with their tasks from the other Gods. This lack of consistent forms did cause Masquerade to become a genderless human-like silhouette in their God form.

The story of Echo:

For Echo, there is no clear story to just how he came to be. Each person seemed to have a different tale of her arrival. It is almost as if the unclear story was deliberate. Given Echo’s nature he likely did assure the rumours of how they came to be never became truly clear. Though, one thing is certain is that Larthin and Echo are a couple.

One story is that Echo is a being that fell from the sky like a meteorite. Another was the Seven Gods combined their powers to create Echo. Another story was someone made a grand sacrifice to the Gods and Echo was the result of this unmatched sacrifice. Even the other Gods have different stories to how Echo came to be. Whether that is purposeful or not is unclear.
