Opulent is word that comes to mind when stepping into the House of God Larthin. Marble, gold, silver, and a variety of gemstones is what is used for the décor. It's not hues of the metals or glass made to appear like the gems used but actual gold, silver, and gemstones. Because of this the whole room seems to glitter, no matter the time of day. The rows and columns of benches are made from the white marble, standing out against the black marble floor. The roof is a mosaic of what Larthin is believed to look like. A platform with a solid gold alter acts as the place for the clergy to give speeches and sermons.

Of course the most petty of Gods has sent word to Ozymandias, via one of the God's shadow figures, to meet him in his Temple. Unless it amuses him to go to someone Larthin expects people to join him not he join them. Such is the way of those that are very vain. The golden altar has been swept tot he side and upon the platform it usually sits Larthin sits. In a black diamond throne adorned with the finest of silk pillows. Larthin's clergy might be just as prideful as their God but they 100% behave like servants for the petty God. They especially want to gain his favor, after all. How else would they get bragging rights about Larthin favoring them?

Sounds of thunder echo in the distance outside of the temple. Almost like it heralded Ozymandias, though if it was Ozymandias who created the storm, none could know - except for maybe the Gods of course. It was just chance, no purpose. Yet he wears his simple robes of red as Mataya's Archbishop. He looks at the God's black diamond throne, he watches as the First God sits. He approaches, and he offers a bow to the King of vanity. "First Among the Gods. I have come as you requested."

Was he summoned? Was he just in the area? Did he need something from the Temple? Who kows, but Llyrion is apparently at the Temple at the same time as one of the Gods! There may be a bit of a kinship with the vain deity and the priesthood as, of course, Llyrion does look rather flawless himself, even in his 'simpler' Scholar's garb. Standing near the entryway of the altar room, he sort of peeks in, purely out of curiosity; one of the few aspects of his personality that is actually stronger than his own vanity or indolence.

Even though he is the one who summoned Ozymandias the Archbishop is greeted after LArthin focuses on and greets Llyrion first, "Lord of the Softbreezes. Welcome. Come here." LArthin's tone indicates he expects to be heeded. Few are going to defy the First God, after all. "You'll be my favorite today." Now, her turns to Ozymandias. The poor Archbishop has hit or miss when it comes to whether Larthin likes him or not. "Archbishop. I trust you've been taking good care of my Children and not letting harm come to them."

At Larthin's announcement of Llyrion by a unique title, Ozymandias turns to face Llyrion, giving him a smile. Then he turns his attention to Larthin. "I have. My word has been kept. I love Kamala as if she were my own, and I have kept her safe. The same has been done for your other Children." Ozymandias bows once more.

Pale brows lift when he's addressed but he aproaches from the entryway and offer a deep, elegant bow. "I am honored, Your...Most Eminent." How should one greet the First of the Gods? That seemed to be the highest honorific he could come up with on the fly. The Archbishop also gets a nod as he moves to stand respectfully off to the side...unsure of what being a 'favorite' entails, but he won't say no to it. It sounds nice, after all...as does the title.

With Larthin, being his favorite could mean anything. Pleasant or unpleasant. Whatever the current whim of LArthin is. The First god's hand lifts to lightly rest on Llyrion's arm. Ozymandias gets a doubtful look but, for not, he is let go, "You guys have found the Lost Gods. Soleil and Hilal. They are impatient Gods." So says the man who gets off on a tangent when he thinks someone isn't making him happy. "So, it is about time I assign you my next task. Tell me, Archbishop, what do you believe would be difficult enough for you to please me?"

Ozymandias looks upon Larthin then as he looks doubtful at him. Ozymandias doesn't appear put off by it, however. The Lost Gods were found, it's true. Soleil and Hilal, the Sun and the Moon. Keeping his comments to himself, Ozymandias looks upon Larthin. Questioning the nature of the task, Ozymandias hums and takes a deep breath. "Something impossible, or deemed as impossible." Ozymandias tells Larthin. "Perhaps to do wit hthe clergy." He looks upon the First God.

Dark eyes glance briefly at the God's hand on his arm but Llyrion will stay there, doing his best not to move and still look as elegant and noble as possible as the discussion goes down. His pale brows crease as the Archbishop declares that he wants an 'impossible task' but he somehow manages to bite his tongue as to not interrupt the moment.

A humm escapes the petty God before his gaze shifts to Llyrion, "And you Lord Llyrion? What do you think would be a difficult task for the Archbishop assigned by me? Keep in mind he is not one of my favored people." Of course Larthin doesn't hold back. Why should he? He's the First God. Its not like it isn't know Larthin has a bit of fuss against the Archbishop.

"I didn't imagine I was, my Lord." Ozymandias tells Larthin in humility. It may be because Ozymandias is humble in his accomplishments that Larthin dislikes him so. Yet Larthin questions Llyrion, and Ozymandias's gaze slowly turns to the Lord, watching him for a long moment. His eyes briefly lower.

Llyrion's brows lift again as he's addressed. While there is a brief moment of concern for taking the moment from the Archbishop, there is also a little bit of pleasure at being so recognized. "An 'impossible task', Highest of High, means it would never be done, which...I suppose could be something, but if the Archbishop is not one of your favored, perhaps his task could be something that could bring him closer to you? Closer to understanding you? Closer so that you may favor him more?"

Another humm is given by the First God at Llyrion's answer. He turns to Ozymandias again, "You can form a council for the Clergy. There are 7 Gods." Larthin has just confirmed the rumors going about involving the Missing God. "You must get the approval of the courtesans, each Clergy, the military, specifically Valeria Santua, in the Seat of Gods, all the kings and queens, and all the Gods. You only have a short period to do this. A few weeks, at best (OOC, obviously, no limits but Larthin is a dick). The less time it takes you to convince everyone, the better for you."

Ozymandias smiles softly to himself. A bit of confidence airing from Ozymandias. "I will not fail in this task." Had he already thought of such himself? Has the God merely played into Ozymandias's hand? Or has Ozymandias merely been excited at the possibility? Either way, Ozymandias rises to his full height. "I will complete this task. I will unite the clergy as best as I can and introduce a new Order to the world."

Not really what he would have had in mind, but despite what his parents have told him, he is not a deity. Llyrion merely gives a little smile as the Archbishop reacts to the task; maybe the confidence was also part of the task. Who knows what's in the minds of Gods! "A brilliant decision," is offered to the vain deity. It's what he'd want to hear, at least.

The way to win Larthin's approve is always praise and worship. He might be petty and difficult but for the most part catering to his ego wins things. "Don't be cocky, Archbishop. You also have to convince me and my clergy." There in lies, likely, the most difficult part of Ozymandias' task. No one said that just because LArthin assigned the task that he supported it. Then to Llyrion the First God asks with a slight smile, "Tell me, Lord Llyrion, what sort of gift would you like? PErhaps something pretty? To become a prince? A place built by a god just for you? A trinket?"

"A brilliant decision indeed. I will leave your presence, my Lord, and prepare my statements, arguments, and messages. I have much ground to cover. I ask you for your permission to go, lest I disturb your gift to Lord Llyrion."

Llyrion certainly did not expect to be called out like this! He looks for a moment at the ArchBishop as if silently asking if he should even answer before composing himself and turning elegantly to the deity, "I am honored merely to be considered a favorite, Highest of High. Although I would be grateful and appreciate of any gift you might choose to bestow." Because, if anything, the Softbreezes know how to be political and flattering. Or maybe it's just something that Llyrion has found he excels at; which possibly keeps him out of the many scandals that beset his relatives.

"You're not going to be the properly kind Clergy of Mataya and help the lord decide?" To Llyrion, "Choose what you want, Lord Llyrion? Or I'll just declare you married to someone, whether they are your preference or not." That seems like a good 'punishment' to the First God for someone he 'favors'.

"My wisdom is not one of material, Highest of the High." Ozymandias suggests to Larthin. "My wisdom comes from emotion, from grace. Perhaps if the Lord Llyrion wishes to not be married, he could simply choose a trinket that honors you?"

Oh no! Put on the spot! Llyrion's cheeks flush a very pale pink for a moment as he considers the deity as well as the Archbishop. "I know that it's my duty to be married," is offered, perhaps to both, and at the 'ripe old age' of 27, he isn't yet, which is maybe a little surprising given his noble rank. "A marriage blessed by the First God would indeed be a mark of favour," is offered diplomatically, "As would any items you would deign to bestow."

"Good boy." praises the First God when Llyrion decides. He captures one of te lord's hands in his grasp, closing both hands over it and when the hand is released Llyrion has a gold and black diamond ring on it. It is sheer perfection, completely flawless. It is clearly not man made (as with everyone: if you want to have the ring anobject let Minerva know). As LArthin stands his throne disappears and he starts walking off, his shadow creatures work at carrying the heavy golden altar back to where it should be. LArthin is petty and selfish, not cruel. "Enjoy your task and gifts, gentlemen." with that said LArthin disapepars.
