Typical Religion: Monotheism - Santuas are generally monotheism and they favor Larthin. They do not dismiss the other Gods.

Coat of Arms: A leafy brown tree at a central point.

Motto: Only the weak fear the darkest route. They don't realize going down the darkest path makes them stronger.

Preferred Mounts: Dire Wolves. The Santua family uses Dire Wolves as their mounts when they can.

Story: Mircea decided to travel to the forests. He felt that was the place he wanted to be, liking the idea of using the trees to his advantage. People followed him, as with the other kingdoms, because they believed him to be the true heir and the one most capable of appeasing the Gods. Mircea was considered a harsher leader than the other kingdoms, but his people were still fiercely loyal to him. At the direction of Mircea the people built their homes and businesses among the branches of the trees with the occasional one starting at the bases of them. Mircea took the name Santua as his family name and also called his kingdom that, as he was the expected king of the newly built kingdom. Mircea was quick to erect statues to the Gods, with an exceptionally large one dedicated to Larthin. This pleased the First God who blessed the people of Santua. With the blessing all of those who followed Mircea became quite tall, no one under six feet and their skin and hair turned to hues of blue, purple, or green. The Santuans in general felt this was just a sign that they were the most favoured by the First God, thus, the ones who are superior and furthest along with appeasing the Gods.

At the start of magic King Orion took over for Mircea after he died under mysterious circumstances. Orion witnessed the full establishing of the kingdoms, the Gods giving the mortals magic and then passed down, after retiring, his title to Queen Cora whose title then passed down, upon Cora's death, to King Clive. At his death the current King, Kalem, started his reign and has been King since.

Family Hook: The Santuas took the darker route to figuring out how to break the curse upon the people of Atharia and how they handle coming of age reflects that. Through out their childhood they are taught sacrifices are to be made in the name of family and honoring the commitment to do darker deeds to try and break the curse. So, for a member of the Santua family sacrifice is not a new thing. However, there is one sacrifice that is considered the most honorable, to them. and that is the one done when they come of age. All family member are given a scar that is the family sigil somewhere on their body for their coming of age and it is kept bleeding, for several days. A person who can use healing magic is kept at hand so n one dies but the longer someone lets the sacrificial scar bleed, the more devoted the rest of the family considers them to be. They healer is there to ease pain and heal them should they seem like they will pass on.

OOC: Names, ages, who has children, siblings, or spouses can be changed within reason. The only exception for names, ages, and spouses (children and siblings are fine) is the rulers and their heirs. Also keep in mind in the ages of the rulers when asking/wanting to be in a certain place or relationship. The traditional way of how a kingdom passes down a title also needs to be kept in mind. Contact staff for any changes you want to make in regards to names or ages. People with no names can basically be adjusted however.
